Media note · image key 71
Media feature 71: read the image in context.
A surviving image route does not by itself identify the photograph or artwork it once displayed. The responsible way to use it is to keep the exact address while requiring a caption, creator credit and date before attaching a specific claim.
01 · Caption
Describe only what the image shows.
Separate visible details from interpretation. Instrument, setting, clothing and stage elements can be described directly; event, year and song title need an attached source.
02 · Credit
A creator name changes a file into a reference.
Keep photographer or designer, publisher, publication date and usage terms together. A copied image without those fields is difficult to verify and easy to misattribute.
03 · Context
Connect media to the correct performance.
Compare caption, venue details and sequence with the media index. Do not assume that an image published beside an album list depicts the recording session or cover artwork.
